About Us

We are special education organization and we cater to children with special learning needs. We embarked on this journey in the year 2007 with our first center Sai Sweekar CHILD Development Center in Virar,
Mumbai. We have worked with over 2500 children and their families, over the span of 15 years, providing quality special education services under one roof.

In the year 2019 we extended this project as Saipathways Child Development Center in the city of Pune. We aim to enrich the lives of children with individual yet holistic educational approach through our early intervention, special education, remediation and life skill program, enabling them to grow to their fullest
potential. And leading an independent life.

Early intervention (2 to 5 years)

Early Intervention – Our early Intervention Program is for children in the age group of 2 to 5 years who are at risk of developmental delay due to various reasons. It is designed to identify and meet children’ needs in the five developmental areas – Physical, cognitive, communication social/ emotional and sensory/ adaptive skills.

School Readiness program (5 -7 Years)

School Readiness program - Our school readiness program supports children with special needs to develop required skills and prerequisites to facilitate smooth transition to formal schooling.

Apart from age appropriate academic we focus on essential coping skills like sitting tolerance, ability to follow instructions and rules, manage routine activities independently, social skills, interactive
communication and behavior management.

School Program (7 to 16 Years)

School program - Special education program caters the needs of children in age group of 7 to 17 years. Aim of this program is to recognize uniqueness and enable over all development of each student through Individualized Education Program that is appropriately mix of
functional academic and special intervention in the area of motor
communication, group skills, social skills and ADL Curriculum of special education program is designed with reference to that of a regular school curriculum that is vital reference point who have potential to be included on open school program.

Remedial Education program

Remedial Education Program - Remedial education program is to help students with specific learning disabilities/ difficulties like dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD,ADD Etc. the aim of this program is to help student to cope up with prescribed school curriculum,
to help them to develop study skills to give them one on one intensive instructions in language, mathematic, problem solving, essential study skills and improve their academic performance.

NIOS

NIOS – National Institue of Open schooling is adjustable to the needs of individual special child who wish to learn
like any other child. It gives opportunity to bring the smile on children who have problem coping up with normal schooling.’ NIOS is equivalent to other bo ards like SSC. CBSC and ICSC.

NIOS allows total freedom to the children with special needs to learn at their own
speed. They get period of 5 years and 9 chances to complete the course. There is wide range of subjects to choose from.

Life Skill Program

Life Skill Program - Our life skill program is designed to take children through the route of capacity building and helping
them realize their fullest potential. So that the real learning reflects in kid’s day to day life. Our program includes functional life skills such as self-care, personal hygiene and grooming, cooking, cleaning, money handling, shopping, social skills communication and leisure
activities.

Meena Nikam

Founder Director

Mrs. Meena Nikam has over 35 years of work experience in the field of special education and rehabilitation. She has worked with many renowned
schools and organizations like Hellen Keller Institute for Deaf Blind, National Association for the Blind , Sense International, to name a few. She has delivered Parent-Teacher training programs and lectures nationally and internationally.

Neha Chimbalkar

Special Education Consultant

After completing her Masters in Special Education (specialization in Intellectual Disabilities) from SNDT University, Mumbai, Neha has been associated with Ashiana Institute for Autism, Priyanj Special School for
Autism and National Association for the Blind. She is also a Georgia (USA) State Certified Special Educator and has designed and implemented the special education program for Sai Sweekar.

Amey Nikam

Project Co-ordinator

Amey began working with children with developmental disabilities in 2011. Along with a M.A. in Clinical Psychology, he has a PG diploma in
Learning Disabilities as well. His background includes Early intervention, Assessment, Parent training, School consultation, Remedial education and Behavior intervention. He is a very good listener and extends his services to the families of the special children as well.

Gauri Nikam

Center Head

Gauri is the center head and also plays a crucial role in our Early Intervention Program. She is a qualified special educator in area of hearing Impairment (Language , Speech & Communication Specialist) from Pune University. She has been associated as a special educator from last 5 years and absolutely loves her work.

Mrs. Sohani Saha

Special Educator

Mrs. Sohani is a B.A.(Hons) in Psychology from Calcutta University. Diploma in Special Education from National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped (NIMH), Kolkata Mrs. Sohani is also trained Music in Vocal (Classical), Dance (Kathak), Drawing and Art & Craft and knows instruments - Keyboard & Harmonium.

Dr. Snehal Kamble

Occupational Therapist

Snehal is Masters in Occupational Therapy from Lokmanya Tilak Medical College Mumbai. Over 15 years of experience with pediatric neurological
issues such as CP, Autism, Developmental Delay, Downs Syndrome etc.
